Lake Mead
Water Loss in Lake Mead, USA
Lake Mead, located in Nevada, is the largest reservoir in the United States that supplies water to millions of residents. However, prolonged droughts and increasing temperatures have contributed to the receding water levels, some of the lowest in history since its formation in 1930. Two maps are produced from satellite imagery to map the progression of decreasing water levels between 2013 and 2021.
